Liaoningvenator curriei is a recently described (as of June 3rd, 2017), half meter long Troodontid from the Early Cretaceous of the Yixian Formation. The Phylogenetic analysis places it as a sister taxon to Eosinopteryx. Unlike Eosinopteryx and it's relatives (based off of Brusatte, et. al (2014) cladogram), it has disproportionately long legs and a very deep and short body.
The holotype specimen, (DNHMD3012) was a 4 year old animal. It is implied that this is a full grown animal, being skeletally mature and a possibly sexually mature female due to the presence of medullary bone (being properly formed around the 3rd or 4th year). It's growth process was quick around the first 2 years and started to slow down drastically within the 3rd and 4th years. The cause of death is not known, but may be due to poor physiological conditions.
