Frère n’est plus avec nous

A young, 19 year old man, Homo heidelbergensis, sits in the brush, relaxing in the soft light, painted in the colors of a cat, embodying the animal, taking its power, it’s stealth, eyesight, and speed, all while breaking his shape up. He wears the hide of a small antelope on his head, as to camouflage himself as a harmless animal if his prey notices movement in his direction. His crude, hafted spear, propped up in the sand, awaiting its use. He is not much different than us, a brother, one can say, but a brother no longer with us.

Inspiration from the San People of the Kalahari, the Mursi and Zulu, as well as my own thought processes.
